Patollea is a sweet desert that is eaten at tea time. The main ingredient is Goan red rice, tumeric leaves (Haldi), coconut filling , Goan jaggery and cardamom. The leaves are folded to make a cone shape and filled with the ingredients. and steamed for twenty minutes
In the Panjim area enjoy a Ros omelette dipped in a curry sauce . Grated coconut, spices, black mustard, curry leaves and curry sauce are the main ingredients of Ros omelette

Enjoy the scenic jungle roads that surround the national parks. Visit Bhagwan Mahaver Sanctuary in Mollem to spot Indian bison, Malabar grey hornbill, wild boar Malabar gliding frog. The best time to spot the animals is very early in the morning and evening. Go for a two hour walk in the jungle.
Drive the magical route to Chorla on the Goa Karnataka border, It overlooks the huge reservoir of the Anjunem Dam. Chorla is home to many small waterfalls on the roadside worthy of a photo shoot. Visit Tambdi Surla in Goa in monsoon

Mahadeva Temple, Tambdi Surla is a 12th-century Shaivite temple of the Lord Mahadeva and an active place of Hindu worship in the Ghats . It was built during the time of the Kadamba dynasty rule. Tamdi Surla temple is dedicated to the Hindu God Lord Shiva. It survived the Muslim and Portuguese invasion because of its remote location in the Ghats. The drive to Tamdi Surla in Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary via Sanquelim and Valpoi is breathtakingly beautiful.
Tamdi Falls at the Karnataka border is less spectacular then Dudhsagar Fall. A local guide is require to reach Tamdi Falls as access is steep, winding and rocky.
Celebrate St. John the Baptist feast on the 24th of June

On the 13th of June Saint Anthony’s statue is dipped into water well. The congregation pray for a good monsoon and harvest.
Handi Khuris Feast

The blessing of the Handi (sluice gate) takes place on August 20. The offerings made by the devotees ensure that the fields will always remain cultivated

Handi Khuris feast in Cutorim is celebrated every year. Cutorim is the granary of Salcette Goa
The Bonderam Festival
Bonderam in Divar begins at three in the afternoon There is a procession of a brass band, children and adults dressed in different costumes and a parade of floats. They take part in a fancy-dress competitions between the two sides of the boundary. In the evening a live band and the DJ take turns in playing music and the whole street turns into one big dance party. There are various food stalls serving tasty local fare and bars
